My first mistake was using my brush despite the directions on the tube saying to apply it directly to the face. This is absolutely NOT a lathering cream. You can whip it till the cows come home, and it will still remain creamy. It is one of the BEST smelling bay rum soaps you'll ever experience but it has very poor slickness and cushion for shaving. But--the Burt's Bees Bay Rum Body Bar has the same scent and is an excellent soap for overall showering.
