That's the kind I grew up on, and it was great for making right before work when you're in a hurry. NettetYes, grits are safe! I can't speak to all the flavors, but for the unflavored original, the only ingredients are corn, salt, some natural preservatives, and vitamins. I eat them all the time for breakfast these days. FYI, I infinitely prefer the Albers or Quaker brand "quick grits" to the instant kind.
