Webb25 apr. 2016 · I'm thinking about slugging the bore on my No4 Mk1 rifle (keyholing badly). I've never slugged a bore before. Would the .315 diameter pure lead round balls sold by Brownell's be an appropriate size for this? Tap it with a mallet to squish it slightly so it fits very tightly down the bore (kind of like using the Paco accurizer), and lube it with grease. You make dowels from a single wood rod cut into about 5"-7" sections.
